Transport Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated employee based in the Netherlands at our warehouse in Lelystad who is willing to travel to Denmark over the next two years. During this period, you will support our operations and facilitate seamless communication between our teams.
In two years' time, our new Distribution center in Lelystad will be fully operational, and you will then transition to working primarily from this location. This role offers a unique opportunity for growth and development within our company, as well as the chance to be instrumental in our international expansion efforts

We are searching for a result-driven, proactive, competent and committed Transport Specialist for E-commerce with strong organization skills and experience within transport. You will be responsible for our carriers performance, KPI, data management and optimization. You will also be involved in our transport tenders, helping to find carriers that has the right match for JYSK and with the aim to improve and optimize our carrier agreements.
You are responsible for:
- Responsible for transport to our customers in the countries served by JYSK in Denmark
- Developing, negotiating and supervising the implementation of the provisions of applicable transport contracts
- Analysing prices, optimizing processes and controlling invoices
- Market research on new carriers for potential collaboration with JYSK
- Creating, optimizing and updating databases for our information on our contracts/carriers
- Participating and/or organizing independently internal meetings and performance meetings with carriers
You Bring dedication and you have:
- Experience within transport
- Data Management
- Strong attention to detail
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- English skills at business level – both written and verbal
- Very good command of MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Able to travel minimum 20 days annually ( training will occur in Denmark for the first 2 years, therefore minimum 40 - 60 travel days in the start up period)
